These puppies are ready for a good and loving home.

This week's featured pets are a litter of eight week old ridgeback and catahula mix puppies. There are six puppies in all: CoJo, Creager, Dolly, Reba, Whiskey, and Blake.

The pups weigh between five and 10 pounds, with some being bigger than others.

All six puppies have had their first round of shots, are wormed and can't be spayed or neutered until they are a little older, but must be done when they are of age.

"They are fun loving puppies who love to play," said Ryann Smythe, caretaker of the pups. "They have been raised with two big dogs and a small dog so they are used to being around other dogs. They love to have a fur sibling to play with, but are fine without one."

The puppies are young, so potty training may require a little time and patience while they get used to their new home. Smythe said that they will sometimes whine when they need to be let out and only occasionally have accidents in their pen.

Smythe said that she makes sure that they have plenty of toys to play with so they have never chewed up anything around her house.

"The breeds themselves are very loyal to their family. Keep in mind they are just babies so they will need someone with time, patience, and love," said Smythe.
