Youngsters listen on Tuesday to Savanah Castillo, a Glen Rose High School student and Apache princess, present a talk on Quanah Parker and the One Man, Two Worlds Exhibit at Barnard’s Mill & Art Museum. Somervell County, Barnard's Mill, Glen Rose ISD and Radiant Swim School hosted Cool Reads, a program offering local students the ability to receive free books in order to encourage summer reading. The next event is coming on Thursday, June 24, at Heritage Park on kayaking and water safety.
